Peter was rushed to our clinic a couple of weeks ago after being attacked by a dog, and suffering horrific wounds to his left ear.
Kathryn, Libby & the Companion Animal team attended to Pete’s injuries under a general anaesthetic and found that unfortunately his ear was too damaged and would need to be removed. His wounds were carefully stitched and he went home with a bandage on his head.
Today Pete visited us to have those stitches removed and we are pleased to see he has made a fantastic recovery and now with his one ear, will be easy to spot in the paddock!
Any dog is capable of attacking stock, and we must commend the dog owner who took responsibility and acted compassionately helping Pete get the care he needed.
